A recent report suggests that three of Anker’s existing cables support the upcoming 150W charging protocol. This technology is said to allow users to recharge some of the brand’s power banks at up to 150W to reduce the charging time. As well as a cable, users will also need a compatible Anker charger.

A new Anker charging protocol is on the way, allowing users to charge some of the brand’s power banks with a 150W input. We have already reported on this proprietary technology, which is rumored to be arriving on two upcoming products: the Prime 26K Power Bank (300W) and the Prime 50K Power Bank (300W, Built-in Retractable Cable).

Anker’s proprietary 150W (28V⎓5.36A) charging protocol is said to be supported by several of the brand’s existing cables. Now, a report by reliable source, AnkerInsider, names three of these products. They are as follows:

As well as having one of these cables, users will also need a compatible Anker charger to use the 150W (28V⎓5.36A) charging protocol. Anker’s unreleased Prime 3-Port 160W Wall Charger with Smart Display) is thought to be such device. Without these specific accessories, the power banks’ single port input is limited to 140W (28V⎓5A). It remains to be seen when the new Anker power banks supporting this 150W charging protocol will be released.
