It seems Anker is gearing up to introduce a powerful Prime wall charger. Per a new leak from @AnkerInsider on X, it will be an upgraded variant of the 140 W Laptop Charger, bringing support for up to 160 W fast charging. However, instead of a four-port configuration, it will have three ports. This change will seemingly make the charging brick a bit more compact.
All of them are USB Type-C ports, and the leak suggests they support 150 W power output. However, without select Anker cables, the ports will reportedly max out at 140 W (240 W 6-feet Prime USB-C cable curr. $27.98 on Amazon). When multiple ports are in use, the maximum output is said to reach 160 W, and there's PowerIQ 5.0 for dynamic distribution of power.
The leak also shows that the 160 W Anker Prime charger will have a built-in smart display. It will reportedly be able to show the total power output and which ports are in use. The leak further suggests that there's Bluetooth connectivity, which will allow users to pair the charging brick with the Anker app.
As for the design, the leak highlights that the upcoming Prime charger will feature a foldable plug, making it travel-friendly. The other design elements match the 140 W Laptop Charger.
Among the other notable aspects mentioned in the leak are temperature monitoring and adjustable brightness for the display. There's no word on what the launch price will be, but it's worth noting that the Anker 140 W Laptop Charger costs $99.99.
