Anker is rumored to be developing a new Solix electric vehicle charger. The brand’s Solix range already includes products like the F3000 portable power station, the Solarbank 3 Pro and the C800 portable power station (curr. $399 at Amazon).
A report by AnkerInsider on X.com indicates that the Solix EV charger will have model number A5191. Rumors suggest that there will be three versions for 7.4 kW, 11 kW, and 22 kW charging. There could be support for Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth, with remote controls available through the Anker smartphone app. Here, users are said to be able to schedule a charging time. It has been suggested that the device will also support swipe gesture charging controls.
The Solix EV charger’s status is thought to be indicated using an integrated light, and it will be compatible with a CEE-32A plug. Another listed feature is support for RFID cards. These are typically used for authentication and payment when using a public EV charger. It is therefore unclear whether this charger is intended to be purchased by businesses for public use, or solely for personal use at home.
The upcoming charger is expected to measure 35.6 × 20.8 × 11.9 cm (~14.0 x 8.2 x 4.7 inches). It is unclear when this rumored Anker Solix EV charger could launch, or how much it will cost.
