Dead By Daylight is teaming up with The Walking Dead, and you'll be able to play as new iconic characters from the series. But be warned, you might be disappointed while waiting for the next update.

Crossovers are common in the world of video games. Take Fortnite, for example, which continues to integrate various licenses into its gameplay, much to the delight of fans. But recently, Dead By Daylight made a surprising and meaningful announcement.

While this may come as a surprise to some, it's obvious to others. It must be said that there were many rumors of a collaboration between The Walking Dead and Dead By Daylight. But all this was made official yesterday when Behaviour Interactive posted an image from the series on X, which is well known to fans.

Indeed, if you watched the first episode of this series, you must have seen Rick standing near a door in the hospital with “Don't open, dead inside” written on it. Furthermore, the following is stated in this publication: “Together, we endure. Alone, we fall”.

Information was revealed this afternoon on Dead By Daylight's X account. Initially, you will be able to play as Rick Grimes and Michonne in the PTB phase. However, due to technical issues, this heroine is not yet playable, although her skills are. You'll have to wait for the release of update 9.1.0, which will take place on July 29.

Further disappointments are to be expected while waiting for update 9.1.0. Rick Grimes and Michonne's lines are not yet available during the PTB, and progress will not be saved. However, it should be noted that numerous bug fixes have been made and major changes to the gameplay have been implemented by the developers.

This collaboration is not surprising, and it was almost certain that it would happen one day. Since its launch in 2016, Dead By Daylight has already partnered with big names in video games such as Resident Evil and Tomb Raider, as well as horror movie stars such as Scream and Halloween.
