Dead by Daylight receives The Witcher Skins, Five Nights at Freddy’s Chapter, and more

Dead by Daylight celebrated its 9th anniversary with a series of major announcements at PAX East 2025, which confirmed some exciting crossovers, gameplay enhancements, and future content.

The headline reveal was the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s Chapter, featuring Springtrap as the newest Killer, which was a highly requested addition by the community. This marks Springtrap's first playable appearance in any game. The chapter will also introduce a new map set in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and a Legendary Outfit modelled on Matthew Lillard’s film portrayal, as well as original voice lines from the actor.

Another major addition will be the Witcher Collection, which is set to arrive on June 3. This includes Legendary Outfits inspired by Geralt of Rivia (for Vittorio Toscano), Ciri, Yennefer, Triss, Leshen, and Eredin. Geralt’s outfit includes unique lobby animations and voice lines by Doug Cockle, the original voice actor.

Apart from this, Behaviour Interactive, the developer, reiterated its focus on player experience. The second phase of its Quality of Life Initiative will introduce anti-camping measures, spectator mode improvements, matchmaking while queuing, and item rebalances.

Another standout reveal was the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ chapter, which is being developed in collaboration with the community and will be revealed in 2026. Players will vote on key elements such as the Killer, Survivor, lore, and gameplay features, with a unique “Change Your Fate” mechanic offering opportunities to revisit and revise earlier decisions.

Additional announcements included a Tomb Raider outfit expansion, a Boulet Brothers Collection, a Legendary Trapper Outfit for Frank Stone, and the debut of It Has My Face, a roguelite from NightByte Games published by Behaviour.

As per the official recap, the stream included a lot of clues to the next licensed chapter of Dead by Daylight were hidden throughout the broadcast, teasing yet another big reveal on the horizon. Players are encouraged to revisit the stream and speculate before the official reveal drops.
