OnePlus has unleashed the Pad 3 globally, having introduced the Pad 2 Pro in China less than a month earlier. While the Pad 3 replaces the Pad 2 (curr. $549.99 on Amazon), it does so at a significantly higher price tag. In the US at least, OnePlus charges $699.99 for a variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage before factoring in launch bonuses that we have detailed below.
Like the Pad 2 Pro before it, the Pad 3 combines a 13.2-inch IPS display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 12,140 mAh battery that can be recharged at 80 W. According to OnePlus, this large display outputs at 3,392 x 2,400 pixels in a 7:5 aspect ratio with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 900 nits full panel brightness. On top of that, the Pad 3 finds itself with 8 MP front-facing and 13 MP rear-facing cameras, as well as a USB Type-C port that supports 5 Gbit/s transfer speeds.
The OnePlus Pad 3 is available for pre-order now from today across multiple markets, including the Eurozone, UK and the US. Currently, OnePlus hopes to begin shipping by the end of June in some markets and the start of July in others. At the time of writing, OnePlus is offering a complimentary Smart Keyboard or Folio Case accessory with pre-orders. On top of that, OnePlus has dropped the tablet's price by £70 for its 16 GB RAM/512 GB storage variant in the UK and by €100 in the Eurozone.
