RedMagic has offered up fresh details about its next gaming tablet before its launch next week. Just a few days ago, the company revealed that the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro would leverage an OLED display in contrast to LCD-wielding counterparts like the Lenovo Legion Tab and the latest Apple iPad mini (curr. $399 on Amazon).
Unfortunately, an OLED panel will result in the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro exhibiting pulse-width modulation (PWM), which can cause eye strain and headaches in some people. With that being said, RedMagic has now confirmed that the OLED inside its latest gaming tablet will flicker at 5,280 Hz, which is much a higher value than most OLED panels. Consequently, RedMagic claims that the SGS has certified the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro as having an 'eye-friendly' display.
RedMagic has finally outlined the tablet's battery and charging capabilities too. In separate Weibo posts, the company has confirmed that the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro will arrive on June 11 sporting an 8,200 mAh with support for 80 W wired charging. As a result, RedMagic's new tablet will outdo the latest Legion Y700 not just in battery capacity but also in charging speeds. RedMagic has not revealed global launch plans yet, although recent releases point to global availability later this year.
