By all indications, Xiaomi plans to launch a new performance-focused tablet later this month. This tablet will wear the Redmi badge and has now been certified in China, leading further credence to reports of its imminent launch.
According to new leaks, the upcoming Redmi gaming tablet has now been spotted at 3C, making its certification debut in China. The tablet is listed with the model number "25079RPDCC", and with 67 W charging. The leaker reveals another detail of the tablet, namely the presence of an 8.8-inch LCD screen with a high refresh rate—likely 144 Hz.
As previously reported, this new tablet appears to be benchmarked against Apple's iPad mini 7. It's supposedly set to share an identical design and is tipped to sport similar bezels as the Apple tablet.
Other than that, the Redmi gaming tablet is widely tipped to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ and will feature a battery in the region of 7,000 mAh. Dual Type-C ports have been mooted, as well as dual x-axis vibration motors. The tablet is expected to launch towards the end of the month in China, alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra.
