Lenovo confirms some core specs of upcoming GT-branded lightweight tablet

Lenovo is preparing to launch a new tablet. Called the Xiaoxin GT Pro, the company has already showcased the design of the device, and now, it has shared some of the core specs. As the brand previously teased, this upcoming pad will feature a slim and light chassis.

To be specific, Lenovo highlights that the Xiaoxin GT Pro will weigh around 458 grams (about 1 lb) and sport an ultra-thin body that measures 5.99 mm. Another core feature that was revealed was that the tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the last-gen flagship SoC.

This SoC would make the upcoming Lenovo pad offer the same level of performance as the Legion Tab Gen 3 gaming tablet (curr. $429.99 on Lenovo). The company further shares that it will sport an 11.1-inch display, making it a fairly large device. This LCD panel is said to have a high refresh rate and a "3.2K" screen resolution.

The other specs of the Xiaoxin GT Pro are still under wraps, but the recent teaser video confirmed that the tablet will feature a dual-camera setup on the back. The video also shared that the device will sport Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, which should make it a good pick for entertainment. There will be stylus support as well, and it seems that the chassis will have a dedicated magnetic docking point for the pen.

There's still no word on the global availability or the pricing of the Xiaoxin GT Pro, but it could make its way outside China under the Idea Tab lineup. More details about this new Lenovo tablet are expected to emerge soon.
