Huawei has introduced a new iteration of the MatePad 11.5. At first glance, the design has hardly changed, but the new tablet is slightly thinner at 6.1 millimeters and also slightly heavier at 515 grams. The increased weight is likely due to the battery, which, at a capacity of 10,100 mAh, is a remarkable 31% larger than the previous model.
Battery life is expected to increase from 10 to 14 hours of video playback and charging is via USB-C with up to 40 watts. Huawei installs a new 11.5-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2,456 x 1,600, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 600 nits. For an additional charge, the display can be upgraded to a "PaperMatte" surface, which is said to reduce reflections and improve readability with sunglasses.
Quad speakers make the tablet suitable for multimedia applications, and Huawei also offers a keyboard case and multitasking features to make the use of productivity apps more convenient. The MatePad 11.5 (2025) features an 8-MP f/2.0 selfie camera, a 13-MP f/1.8 main camera, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, including support for Sony LDAC. The Wi-Fi module reportedly achieves 30% faster speeds compared to the previous model.
