The Pixel-related leaks have been pouring in non-stop for a while now, and it is expected to continue right until the official announcement. The latest leak is a set of press images of some of Google's new devices, but it also includes our first look at what is believed to be a new color option for the Pixel Buds Pro 2.
Shared on X by Evan Blass, the leak shows the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in a new colorway that matches one of the colors of the new Pixel 10 smartphones. This colorway is reportedly called Moonstone, and the new Pixel Watch 4 as well as the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will also be available in the same color based on the leaked images.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 (currently available on Amazon for $193) were first announced in August 2024 as successors to the 2022 Pixel Buds Pro. The earbuds are currently available to buy in four colors — Porcelain, Hazelnut, Wintergreen, and Peony. So this new Moonstone color brings the available options to five.
It has become a tradition for Google to announce new colors for its earbuds. The discontinued Pixel Buds Pro were initially available in four colors, but a year later they got two additional colors that matched those of the Pixel 8 series.
In addition to a new color option for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, Google is also expected to announce a successor to the Pixel Buds A-series. The affordable pair of earbuds were announced in June 2021, so they are overdue for an upgrade.
