Following a report that Samsung plans to launch a cheaper version of the Galaxy Buds 3 that will be sold as the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, the manufacturer has now revealed the price of the upcoming pair of earbuds. The reveal comes via a listing on Samsung's Latin America website, and it also includes a few details and a handful of official images.
The Galaxy Buds 3 FE (stylised as Galaxy Buds3 FE) will be available in Black and Gray color options. Both will come in a carrying case similar to that of the Galaxy Buds 3 which has a transparent lid. The black version will have an all-black design but the case for the gray version will have a black interior while the earbuds will have black ear tips.
According to the product listing, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE will have a price tag of $129 which makes them more expensive than their predecessor, the Galaxy Buds FE, which cost $99 when they launched in 2023.
That price may make them a hard sell considering the higher-end Galaxy Buds 3, which cost $179.99 at launch last year, can be currently purchased for $104 on Amazon. Notwithstanding, they are still significantly cheaper than the Galaxy Buds Pro 3 (curr. available on Amazon for $199).
So far, it is known that the new pair of earbuds will have significantly longer battery life than the previous model. However, since the full specifications are under wraps, we can only presume there are other upgrades, too. Interestingly, the page says delivery of the Galaxy Buds 3 FE begins tomorrow, August 8, which is surprising since they are yet to be officially announced.
Nevertheless, when the Galaxy Buds 3 FE arrive, they will be facing stiff competition from rivals such as the Nothing Ear (a). Google is also reported to be launching the Pixel Buds 2a later this month as replacements for the 4-year old Pixel Buds A-series.
