Oppo’s high-end smartwatch goes global with a premium price tag

In March, Oppo showed off its high-end smartwatch, which boasted top-shelf features such as 16-day battery life thanks to its 646 mAh silicon-carbide battery. At that time, it was only available in China, but now, it has officially launched in global markets alongside the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. With an MSRP of EUR 429, it isn't particularly cheap, but that is to be expected from a flagship-tier offering.
To recall, the Oppo Watch X3 comes with a 1.5-inch circular LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, 600 nits typical brightness, which can go up to 3,000 nits under direct sunlight with Sports Mode enabled. It measures 47.40 mm × 47.40 mm × 11.0 mm and weighs around 43g without the watch strap. The watch is fairly sturdy and comes with a host of ratings, such as IP68, IP69 and MIL-STD-810H. It can withstand up to 5 Atmospheres of pressure underwater.
Under the hood, a Snapdragon W5 SoC powers the Oppo Watch X3. It is accompanied by 2 GB of memory and 32 GB of storage. Wireless connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.2, 802.11 b/g/n/ Wi-Fi and NFC. The primary difference between the Chinese and global variants lies in their operating system. In China, it used a flavour of ColorOS modified for wearables. Globally, it will launch with Google's Wear OS 6.0, allowing for seamless integration with the overall Android and Google ecosystem. ECG functionality is also available, but only in certain markets.
