Oppo launches new flagship tablet with large display and powerful chipset

At today's event in China, Oppo launched multiple new smartphones, including the Find X9 Ultra and the Find X9s Pro. Additionally, the company introduced two tablets. The Pad Mini is a compact high-end tablet, while the Pad 5 Pro is the company's top-of-the-line tablet.
Specifications of the Oppo Pad 5 Pro
The new Oppo tablet features a large 13.2-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 3,392 x 2,400 pixels and a 7:5 aspect ratio. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits of peak brightness, and Dolby Vision.
The Oppo Pad 5 Pro is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. The company states that it scores over 4.47 million points on AnTuTu. The tablet includes a 13,380mAh battery with 67W fast charging support via a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. Notably, the tablet measures 5.94 mm thick and weighs 672 grams.
The rear camera is a 13-megapixel unit capable of recording up to 4K video at 30fps. For selfies, it features an 8-megapixel sensor. In terms of software, the tablet runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Other highlights include an eight-speaker system, two microphones, and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) support.
Color options and pricing
The tablet comes in Dawn Gold, Mocha Brown, and Monet Purple colorways. It is available in four memory configurations. The base model features 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, priced at CNY 4299 (~$630). The other variants include 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and 16/512GB. They are priced at CNY 4499 (~$659), CNY 4999 (~$733), and CNY 5499 (~$806), respectively.
Global availability for the Oppo Pad 5 Pro has not been announced yet. However, the specifications are close to those of the OnePlus Pad 4, which is scheduled to launch in India on April 30.
