iQoo 16 leak reveals major upgrades over iQoo 15

The iQoo 15 is a performance-centric flagship smartphone that launched in October 2025. It is expected to be succeeded by the iQoo 16 later this year. Now, a new leak has revealed some key details about the upcoming device.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the iQoo 16 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. Leaks suggest the 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro will be a major upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 found in the iQoo 15. The new Snapdragon chipset is expected to be based on a 2nm process, compared to the 3nm process of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Moreover, it may support faster LPDDR6 memory and reach a 5GHz clock speed.
The tipster also mentioned that the iQoo 16 may use a 6.85-inch display with a 2K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the iQoo 15 features a 144Hz display.
In the camera department, the iQoo 16 may use either a 50MP or a 200MP primary sensor. The source also revealed that the iQoo 16 will have a "mid-segment" periscope telephoto lens. For reference, the iQoo 15 features a 50MP 1/1.95-inch periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. iQoo has yet to confirm details about its next-generation flagship phone, so the above information should be treated with caution.
