iQoo 15 Apex edition goes official with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor

Vivo’s gaming-focused sub-brand, iQoo, unveiled the iQoo 15 smartphone last year in India. Now, the brand has officially launched the iQoo 15 Apex edition. The Apex edition features a holographic imaging-based dynamic ink wash painting design on the rear panel. Specs-wise, it remains the same as the standard variant. This means gamers can now choose from three finishes, including Apex, Legend (white), and Alpha (black). 

The iQoo 15 Apex is now available for pre-order via Amazon for INR 72,999 ($780) for the base 12 GB + 256 GB variant and INR 79,999 ($860) for the top-end 16 GB + 512 GB model. It will go on sale in India starting April 5. Additionally, the company is also offering a free iQoo TWS worth Rs 1,899 completely free for those who pre-book the device. 

The iQoo 15 Apex edition is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of internal storage, and an 8,000 mm² cooling system for heat dissipation. It packs a big 7,000 mAh battery that supports 100 W wired and 40 W wireless charging support. 

In terms of panel, the smartphone boasts a 6.85-inch Samsung 2K M14 OLED display with adaptive 144 Hz refresh rate support. For photography, it has a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box, and the company promises five major OS upgrades (up to Android 21) and six years of security patches until 2032.
