Leaker reveals Xiaomi's plans for flagship releases in 2026

Xiaomi has had a busy start to the year with numerous product releases both in China and globally. For instance, less than a month has passed since the company introduced a new lightweight laptop featuring Intel's Panther Lake platform. At the same time, it launched a new luxury smartwatch with a 2,500-nit AMOLED display.
Shortly before that, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra globally, as well as the Pad 8, Pad 8 Pro, Poco X8 Pro and the Poco X8 Pro Max (curr. $559 on Amazon). According to Kartikey Singh, Xiaomi is not stopping there. Instead, the leaker claims that Xiaomi has multiple 'new exciting products with cutting edge technologies' scheduled the second half of the year.
Currently, Singh names four principal devices, including the 'most powerful smartphone camera of 2026'. Based on the embedded tweet below, this will be Xiaomi's last major release this year. In the meantime, the leaker asserts that the world's first optical modular smartphone is on the horizon, as is a smartphone built with an in-house chipset. Whether this is the Xring O2 that is also rumoured remains to be seen at this point, though.
