Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max receives global release with 120 Hz AMOLED display and massive battery

The Poco X8 Pro Max has finally arrived globally. The first smartphone featuring MediaTek's Dimensity 9500s chipset, the Poco X8 Pro Max also features LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 flash storage. Moreover, Xiaomi includes an 8,500 mAh battery globally and a 9,000 mAh battery in India.
All versions support 100 W wired (PPS) and 27 W reverse wired charging, though. Additionally, Xiaomi equips the Poco X8 Pro Max with 50 MP primary (Light Fusion 600), 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 20 MP front-facing cameras. For reference, only the Light Fusion 600 primary camera differs from those found in the Poco X8 Pro.
Meanwhile, a 6.83-inch AMOLED display dominates the Poco X8 Pro Max's front. Matching the Xiaomi 15T Pro's display in size (curr. $819 on Amazon), this AMOLED panel also outputs at 2,772 x 1,280 pixels with a 3,840 Hz PWM value and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The Poco X8 Pro Max offers around 9% higher peak brightness at 3,500 nits (APL 25%) though, albeit with a 120 Hz refresh rate instead of 144 Hz in the Xiaomi 15T Pro's case.
The Poco X8 Pro Max starts with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Xiaomi also offers a 512 GB variant, albeit with 12 GB of RAM too. The Poco X8 Pro Max retails for $469 or $529 with 512 GB of storage. However, Early Bird deals drop this pricing to $429 and $459, respectively.
