RedMagic has revealed that it will be relaunching one of its latest high-end gaming smartphones soon. Available before the end of the month, the new version may only be a visual refresh of existing variants. Still, the 'Trace' variant will add pops of colour missing from the RedMagic 11 Air's original release.

The RedMagic 11 Air launched globally at the end of January. Following on from the RedMagic 11 Pro (curr. $799 on Amazon), the RedMagic 11 Air was initially available in Phantom and Prism finishes. However, RedMagic has now confirmed that a third option is on its way.

This new release only represents a visual refresh of the RedMagic 11 Air, though. Thus, the device will still feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 7,000 mAh battery, as well as a 6.85-inch AMOLED display that combines a 144 Hz refresh rate with under-panel camera technology. As far as we can tell, 'Trace' merely adds orange accents to the Prism finish in which the device was previously available.

Specifically, RedMagic has included splashes of orange around each camera lens, one of the device's physical hardware buttons and across its back panel. For some reason, Trace will not be available with the RedMagic 11 Air's base 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage configuration. Instead, RedMagic only plans to offer the new release with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Consequently, the Trace version will cost €599 in the Eurozone, £529 in the UK and $599 in the US. Pre-orders will open globally on March 30.
