Lenovo Legion gaming phone comeback hinted as unreleased model appears in public

Lenovo has recently unveiled the Legion Tablet Gen 5, which is the company's latest flagship tablet with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Now, even though this pad gets a new generation every year, there hasn't been a new Legion gaming phone since the Y70.
To look back, the Lenovo Legion Y70 made its debut in August 2022, and it was powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It was a direct competitor to the RedMagic 7S series and the Asus ROG Phone 6, but after this generation, the company stopped refreshing the gaming phone.
Well, it seems that the Legion gaming phone is due for a revival as a new model has just been spotted. At a recent event in China, a Lenovo representative was seen holding an unreleased Legion-branded smartphone. From the initial pictures circulating on the Chinese platform Weibo, it seems the back design will be similar to that of the Motorola Edge 70, with a rectangular camera island on the upper left of the rear.
This camera island appears to feature three cameras with a flash module, and right below it, there's a prominent Lenovo Legion branding. The front of the gaming phone hasn't surfaced yet, and there's no word on the specs, but the device is expected to be a competitor to the RedMagic 11 Pro.
If that stands true, it could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a high-refresh-rate display, a large battery, and an advanced cooling setup (Black Shark phone cooler 4 Pro curr $32.24 on Amazon). Given that the Legion phone has already been spotted in public, Lenovo is expected to officially announce it soon.
