Oppo, OnePlus, and Vivo officially announce smartphone price increase in China

Amid soaring memory and semiconductor prices, multiple Chinese smartphone manufacturers have started raising device prices. Oppo and its sub-brand OnePlus have announced a price hike for various smartphones in China.

According to a price adjustment table posted on Weibo, the Oppo K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro both saw a price increase of 500 yuan (~$72.50). The Oppo K13x's price has increased by up to 400 yuan (~$58), while the K13s and K12s saw increases of 200 yuan (~$29).

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 saw a 500 yuan (~$72.50) increase, with new starting prices of 4,499 yuan (~$652) and 3,099 yuan (~$449), respectively. The Ace 6T now costs 2,799 yuan (~$405), up from its launch price of 2,599 yuan (~$376). The OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V also saw a 200 yuan (~$29) price increase.

Additionally, Vivo and its sub-brand iQoo have announced that they will increase the prices of select devices starting from 18 March in China. A previous leak suggested that the next-generation OnePlus, iQoo and Redmi flagship phones with 2nm chipsets could start at 5,000 yuan (~$725). The price increases in China could have implications for global markets as well, though no global price hike has been announced yet.
