OnePlus 15T: Official launch date revealed for compact flagship phone

The OnePlus 15T is a compact flagship smartphone, succeeding last year's OnePlus 13T. Earlier this month, the company started teasing key highlights of the phone. OnePlus China has now revealed launch event details.

The company has confirmed that the OnePlus 15T launch event will take place in China on March 24th at 19:00 local time. As of now, there is no official word on global availability. Last year's 13T was launched as the OnePlus 13s for certain markets outside China. Hence, the OnePlus 15T may be rebranded as the OnePlus 15s for global markets.

Confirmed specifications of the OnePlus 15T

OnePlus has already revealed many details of its new phone. The biggest difference between the standard OnePlus 15 and the 15T is the display. Unlike the OnePlus 15 (curr. $899 on Amazon), which has a 6.78-inch display, the 15T uses a smaller 6.32-inch panel. Notably, it supports a 165Hz refresh rate and features 1.1mm symmetrical bezels.

On the performance front, a Geekbench listing confirmed that the OnePlus 15T uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The phone packs a large 7,500mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, and weighs 194 grams.

The phone also features a periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. It remains to be seen if the 15T will be priced higher than the 13T's launch price of 3,399 yuan (~$446), since OnePlus has recently increased prices on certain devices in China.
