OnePlus 15T outclasses OnePlus 13T in early benchmarks while matching OnePlus 15 thanks to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

OnePlus is yet to confirm when it will be releasing the OnePlus 15T. In the meantime, leaks continue to appear online relating to the company's next sub-flagship smartphone. Earlier today, Digital Chat Station shared fresh details about the device on Weibo.
Now, what appears to be the same device has appeared on Geekbench across a few listings. As expected, the OnePlus 15T matches the OnePlus 15 with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and 16 GB of RAM. Currently, the OnePlus 15 is one of the lowest-ranked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 devices we have tested so far.
The OnePlus 15 averaged 3,498 in Geekbench 6.5 single-core and 10,645 in the multi-core benchmark, which represents a 6.5% and 8.5% deficit to the RedMagic 11 Pro (curr. $799 on Amazon). By contrast, the OnePlus 15T scores 3,555 and 10,632. Marginally ahead of the OnePlus 15 in single-core work but just short in multi-core work, both scores are within a margin of error.
Nonetheless, the OnePlus 15T dispatches the OnePlus 13T in the same benchmarks. Specifically, the new smartphone outscores its predecessor by 20% in Geekbench's single-core and multi-core benchmarks. As it stands, OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 15T later this month in China with a 7,500 mAh battery and a 6.32-inch AMOLED display. Details about an international launch remain unknown for now.
