Google Pixel 11 Pro XL: Case leak points to design change

After Google unveiled the Pixel 10 Pro XL ($949 on Amazon) in August 2025, the Pixel 11 series is expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2026. Although the launch is still a few months away, the accessory manufacturer ThinBorne has already listed a protective case for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, the top model in the Pixel 11 series.
This protective case made of aramid fibers indicates a design change, as the cut-out for the pill-shaped camera module is slightly narrower, but taller than on the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. The camera module also appears to protrude less from the smartphone body, which would mean that Google is pursuing a similar design strategy to the upgrade from the Pixel 9a to the Pixel 10a. The dimensions of the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL, on the other hand, hardly change

As it is likely to be almost six months before the launch of Google's next-generation flagship smartphone, this leak should be viewed with caution - it is not known whether the case manufacturer has actually received information about the design of the smartphone or whether this case is just a placeholder.
In any case, previous previous leaks suggest that the Google Pixel 11 Pro (XL) will receive at least one exciting upgrade - 3D facial recognition in the style of the Apple iPhone 17. However, the smartphone will still rely on a display with a single, round punch-hole instead of using a larger, pill-shaped punch-hole like the iPhone. The other sensors required for facial recognition, known as "Project Toscana", are to be hidden out of sight under the display.
