InfinityBook Max 16: AMD-powered gaming laptop with 300 Hz display and RTX 5070 dGPU launches globally

We reported on the Intel-powered Tuxedo InfinityBook Max 16 a few months back, featuring up to the powerful Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU for impressive multithreaded performance. Now, the company has unleashed the AMD variant as well, powered by decently powerful APUs from AMD.
Featuring up to the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU with 12 cores and 24 threads, the high-end Strix Point APU should be able to match the Core Ultra 9 285H in synthetic multithreaded benchmarks. Of course, the HX 370 is no match for the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX found in the Intel variant, with the latter outpacing the former by over 84% in Cinebench 2024.
Cheaper variants with the 8-core AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 and the 10-core AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 APUs are also present, which is good for folks who do not need a whole lot of computing horsepower. Although all of the AMD APUs feature respectable iGPUs, the InfinityBook Max 16 laptop sports Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop and RTX 5070 Laptop GPU options as well, promising high-end performance in 1080p and QHD gaming.
Super-fast 300 Hz QHD panel for fast-paced gaming
The 16-inch display utilizes the 16:10 aspect ratio, which is preferred by many people due to its ample vertical real estate. Tuxedo claims 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and peak brightness of 500 nits. Of course, how well Tuxedo's claims translate to reality remains to be seen. At any rate, the display's impressive 300 Hz refresh rate will definitely make gamers very happy.

Other notable features for the Tuxedo InfinityBook Max 16 include up to 128 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, 99 Wh battery rated for 7 hours of use, dual M.2 2280 slots for storage, and a good selection of ports that are listed below:
- Triple USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- USB4 (DP 2.1, PD), USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (DP 1.4a, 100W PD)
- Gigabit LAN
- SD card reader (UHS-II)
