Deal | Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo Ultra mini PC with GeForce RTX 5060 and 14-core CPU gets $823 discount on official store

Lenovo makes a ton of well-specced desktops as well as mini PCs, catering to a wide variety of audiences. The ThinkCentre Neo Ultra Gen 2 happens to be one such system, and the specific SKU that we're about to talk about sports an Intel Core Ultra 5 CPU, GeForce RTX 5060 dGPU, and 16 GB of DDR5 memory.
Thanks to an ongoing sale on Lenovo's official online store, the aforementioned variant of the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo Ultra mini PC can now be bought with a massive $823 discount, bringing its price down to just $1,136.22 for a limited time.
Desktop-class Core Ultra 5 and RTX 5060 in a mini PC
The Intel Core Ultra 5 235 CPU powering the Neo ultra mini PC is a desktop-class chip with a 65-watt TDP. With a 14-core setup, the CPU promises multicore performance which should be in the same league as the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU found in many high-end mini PCs, at least according to synthetic benchmarks.
Unlike most mini PCs which have to rely on integrated graphics, the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra boasts an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Desktop GPU with 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a 128-bit bus. Thanks to a whopping 3840 CUDA cores, the 5060 should be able to easily outpace a GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. Clearly, the powerful CPU-GPU combination allows the Neo Ultra mini PC to effortlessly handle the vast majority of intensive workloads.
Our in-depth review of an older variant did reveal some thermal constraints, with Cinebench scores falling by a round 25% after a dozen or so loops. Sustained performance for GPU-based workloads, however, did not reveal any major issues. That said, fan noise was unsurprisingly on the louder side during heavier workloads.
The 16 GB of DDR5 memory can be easily upgraded, and the same goes for the 512 GB of solid-state storage, courtesy of dual SODIMM and triple M.2 2280 slots respectively. The I/O on offer is pretty decent, and has been listed below:
- Five USB Type-A (10 Gbps), one USB Type-A (5 Gbps), one USB Type-C (20 Gbps)
- Ethernet
- Thunderbolt 4 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4b and power delivery
- DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1
All told, the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo Ultra mini PC promises decent value at its current price, especially considering the ongoing RAM and storage pricing crisis. Considering the time-limited nature of such deals, interested customers are definitely advised to act quickly.
At 3.6-liters, the Neo Ultra might be a tad too big for some people. For such folks, the 1.65-liter Minisforum AI X1 Pro (currently $1440 on Amazon) might be a better choice, which features an equally powerful CPU, but far worse GPU performance.
