The InfinityBook Max 16 Gen 10, which can now be preordered directly from the manufacturers for prices starting at €1,899, is a new 16-inch laptop that’s 0.9 inches thick and should be well suited for mobile use. This device is designed for Linux distributions such as Tuxedo OS or Ubuntu 24.0 and sports a lightweight and robust design with an aluminum chassis. The notebook will be in stock by the end of January, and first customers should therefore receive their new device in early February.
The base configuration is equipped with 16GB RAM, an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 GPU. For an additional charge of €120, customers can opt for an 16-inch OLED display with 120 instead of 300Hz and 2880 x 1800 instead of 2560 x 1600 pixels. With a peak brightness of 400 instead of 500 nits, the OLED display is slightly dimmer but offers a significantly better contrast ratio. With the OLED display, the Linux laptop weighs just 4.63 lbs.
The stock SSD has a capacity of 1TB, but a secondary SSD can be added in the configurator or manually later on. The second M.2 2280 slot is connected via four PCIe 4.0 lanes instead of PCIe 5.0 on the primary drive. For users who are looking for more graphics power, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 is available for an additional charge. The TGP of both graphics cards is 100 watts plus 15 watts of boost. Moreover, the 99Wh battery is only screwed and not glued in, which means it should be easily replaceable. Two speakers are built-in, while WiFi 7 and Ethernet with up to 2.5Gbps are supported as well. Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 with Power Delivery, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort 2.1 and a card reader round off the connectivity options of the new Tuxedo InfinityBook Max 16 Gen 10.
