A few months after its launch in China, Huawei has now released the Mate 80 Pro in Malaysia. This marks the first country it is sold in other than China, and there's only one configuration available.

The Huawei Mate 80 Pro has now made its international debut, starting with Malaysia. The flagship was first announced in China in late November 2025 alongside the other Mate 80 models. However, only the Mate 80 Pro is available in the country.

Huawei is offering the Mate 80 Pro in a single configuration that has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, but buyers can choose from three color options — Black, Green, and Gold. The price is RM 3,999 (~$1,017/€888/£765) and it applies to all colors.

There's no free gift, but buyers can score a discount on additional items such as the Huawei Band 11 and Huawei Band 11 Pro or a discount on an extended 1 year warranty. They can also enter into a competition where they share their review of the phone and win a free gift.

The Huawei Mate 80 Pro has an LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits.

The Huawei Mate 80 Pro has a 6.75-inch LTPO OLED display with a 2832 × 1280 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The display has 1440Hz PWM dimming, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and is protected by 2nd gen Kunlun Glass.

While Huawei doesn't mention the processor inside the Mate 80 Pro, the version sold in China has a Kirin 9030 processor on the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. However, the variant with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage has the more powerful Kirin 9030 Pro, just like the Mate 80 Pro Max and Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design.

The Huawei Mate 80 Pro is available in Gold, Green, and Black.

On the front of the phone is a 13MP front-facing camera that can record in 4K, while the rear camera setup includes a 50MP ultra lighting camera with a variable aperture (F1.4 - F4.0), a 40MP F2.2 ultra-wide angle camera, and a 48MP F2.1 ultra lighting macro telephoto camera. The phone has 4x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, and can record in 8K.

Rated IP68/IP69 for dust and water resistance, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro has a dual SIM card slot (4G only), WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, 3D face unlock, a fingerprint scanner, and an infrared sensor. There's a 5,750mAh battery capacity with support for 100W fast wired charging and 80W fast wireless charging.
