Huawei MateBook Neo tipped to surpass Apple MacBook Neo in key areas

Apple will not begin shipping the MacBook Neo until March 11 (curr. $599 on Amazon). As such, independent reviews about the $599 MacBook have not arrived yet. In the meantime, leakers have already begun speculating about what one of Apple's competitors has in development.
Reportedly, Huawei plans to offer a direct alternative called the MateBook Neo. First mentioned by Digital Chat Station in January, the MateBook Neo may appear alongside a refreshed MateBook 14. Exactly when remains to be seen at this point, though. Still, Hyperdimensional Realm expects Huawei to offer the MateBook Neo for around CNY 4,000 (~$575) with a circa CNY 1,000 (~$145) cheaper starting price than the next MateBook 14.
Meanwhile, Digital Chat Station reports that the MateBook Neo will line up with the same Kirin 9030 Pro chipset offered inside the Mate X7, Mate 80 Pro Max, Mate 80 RS Ultimate and some versions of the Mate 80 Pro. A 5 nm-class chipset, the Kirin 9030 Pro features 9 CPU cores, 14 threads and a Maleoon 935 GPU.
Moreover, the Kirin 9030 Pro is slated to provide the MateBook Neo with up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. By contrast, Apple is only offering the MacBook Neo with 8 GB of unified memory and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage.
