Google Pixel 11 Pro XL leaks with modernized design, but loses sensor

After render images of the Google Pixel 11 and the Google Pixel 11 Pro leaked recently, the reliable leaker @OnLeaks in collaboration with Android Headlines has now also published images of the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL.
These are based on CAD files, but it is not yet known whether the color shown will actually be offered. The images show two small modernizations in particular. Firstly, the screen bezels are slightly thinner in direct comparison with the Pixel 10 Pro XL ($1,180 on Amazon). And secondly, Google has now made the surface of the pill-shaped camera module completely black, while the area around the LED flash on the previous model had the same color as the back panel.

It is also interesting that the thermometer is no longer visible. This was placed under the LED flash on the Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a comparably large sensor outside the three cameras cannot be seen in the images of the Pixel 11 Pro XL. It remains to be seen whether Google will actually remove this sensor. The Pixel 10 Pro XL was able to use the thermometer to determine the temperature of drinks or even the user's skin temperature, among other things.
The dimensions remain almost unchanged at 162.7 x 76.5 x 8.5 millimetres; the Pixel 11 Pro XL is only 0.1 millimetres less tall and wide, which is presumably due to the thinner screen bezels. As before, Google will install a 6.8-inch display. In addition to the Tensor G6 ARM chip, a new 3D face recognition system in the style of the Apple iPhone is also expected; the sensors required for this are said to be installed invisibly under the display. The Pixel 11 series is expected to be officially unveiled in August.
