Oppo unveils mid-range smartphone with Dimensity 9500s, cooling fan and 8,000 mAh battery

With the Oppo K15 Pro+, Oppo is apparently aiming directly at "flagship killers" such as the Xiaomi Poco F8 Pro ($699 on Amazon), as Oppo also wants to score points with a first-class price-performance ratio. To this end, the manufacturer has installed a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s flagship processor, which is combined with an active fan to achieve first-class performance even under continuous load.
According to Oppo, the fan keeps the smartphone cool at all times, whether it is being used for outdoor navigation with high screen brightness or playing a game. Despite the fan, the smartphone's housing is IP69-certified and therefore fully waterproof and protected against dust ingress.
The Oppo K15 Pro+ has an 8,000 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C with up to 100 watts. The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel achieves a resolution of 2,772 x 1,272 pixels, a frame rate of 165 Hz and a full-surface brightness of 1,800 nits.
The fingerprint sensor is invisibly integrated into the display. As usual in this device class, Oppo saves a little on the cameras, as the Oppo K15 Pro+ only has a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 16 MP f/2.4 selfie camera. Wi-Fi 7, an NFC chip and support for high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs, including LDAC, aptX HD and LHDC 5.0 round off the features
