Oppo K15 Pro+ and K15 Pro launch with large 8,000 mAh Si-C battery and built-in cooling fan

Oppo has expanded its K-series portfolio by launching two new smartphones, the Oppo K15 Pro+ and the Oppo K15 Pro, in China. Oppo’s new K15 Pro+ ships with an interesting set of features. Speaking more precisely, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, which is coupled with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 4.1 storage.

Oppo has outfitted a 6.78–inch AMOLED panel that outputs at 2772 x 1272 pixel resolution with a 165 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits. On top of this, it comes with a large vapor chamber and physical cooling fan. Oppo claims that the built-in cooling fan can help reduce the device’s temperature by up to 5°C.

For photography, you get a 50 MP OIS-enabled main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. Up front, there’s a 16 MP snapper at the front for selfies and video chats. The smartphone is equipped with a massive 8,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 100 W wired charging (Anker 100 W charger curr. at $59.99 on Amazon). Interestingly, it supports both reverse-wired and bypass charging support.

The software side is covered by ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. However, there’s no word on its software support from the brand. Other features include IP68/IP69 ingress protection and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Besides, the base Oppo K15 Pro features a slightly smaller 6.59-inch 144 Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage, a 50 MP primary camera, and a 7,500 mAh Si-C battery with 80 W wired charging support. Interestingly, the vanilla variant also supports reverse wired as well as bypass charging.

Available in pink, grey, and white colorways, the Oppo K15 Pro+ starts at CNY 3,499 ($508) for the base 12 GB + 256 GB variant, while the 12 GB + 512 GB variant is priced at CNY 4,199 ($609.74). The Oppo K15 Pro costs CNY 2,999 for the base 12 GB + 256 GB variant.
