Xiaomi has confirmed plans to release a new mid-range smartphone worldwide. Already sold across Europe and in parts of Southeast Asia, the Redmi A7 Pro costs as little as ~$100 despite its 6,000 mAh battery and 120 Hz display.

Just over a week has passed since Xiaomi released the Redmi A7 Pro in Italy. As we discussed at the time, the Redmi A7 Pro started out life in Indonesia. Since then, Xiaomi has launched the same handset in France and Spain too for €129.90 (~$150).

For context, the Redmi A7 Pro features the same Unisoc T7250 chipset as the older Redmi A5 (curr. $83.70 on Amazon). All other elements remain unchanged from the Redmi A7 Pro's European release too, including a 6,000 mAh battery, a 13 MP primary camera and a 6.9-inch IPS display that combines 650 nits peak brightness with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Now, the company has added the Redmi A7 Pro to its Thai website for just THB 3,299 (~$100). At the same time, it has listed the smartphone on its global website. Thus, it appears that Xiaomi is preparing to release the Redmi A7 Pro worldwide rather than just in selected markets. While the device will be available in a choice of Black, Mist Blue, Palm Green and Sunset Orange finishes, Xiaomi only plans to sell it with 4 GB of RAM.
