Galaxy A27: New Samsung budget phone debuts on Geekbench

The Samsung Galaxy A26 was released in March 2025 as a budget smartphone. Now its successor has appeared on Geekbench, giving us an early look at its performance.
The model number "SM-A276B" is expected to be associated with the Samsung Galaxy A27. The Geekbench listing reveals that it is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor along with 6GB of RAM. For reference, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is an octa-core processor built on a 4nm process with an Adreno 710 GPU and 5G connectivity. Notably, it was also used in last year's Galaxy A36 (curr. $285 on Amazon).
The device scores 777 and 1,802 points in single-core and multi-core CPU tests, respectively. This is lower than the Galaxy A26 with Exynos 1380, which scored 1,008 in single-core and 2,857 in multi-core CPU tests. However, it is worth noting that this is a preliminary benchmark, and the Galaxy A27's performance may improve with further optimization.
The listing also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy A27 is powered by Android 16. A previous leak also revealed that it will have a 5,000mAh battery. As of now, there is no concrete release date for the device. In separate news, the company recently launched the mid-range Galaxy A37 and A57.
