Samsung says AirDrop support is rolling out to Quick Share on the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, starting in Korea before expanding to more regions.

Samsung has announced AirDrop support for Quick Share on the Galaxy S26 series, giving its latest flagship phones a new way to handle cross-device sharing. In its March 23 announcement, Samsung says the feature is coming first to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The change is being positioned as a software update rather than a new hardware feature, but it still gives the Galaxy S26 range another ecosystem-focused selling point. Quick Share has already been Samsung’s main answer for device-to-device transfers, and the addition of AirDrop support pushes that interoperability further for users who move content across multiple platforms. Samsung’s announcement, however, stays focused on the rollout itself and does not go into deeper technical detail about how the feature works behind the scenes.

Korea gets it first before a wider regional rollout

Samsung says the rollout begins on March 23 in Korea. From there, the company plans to expand availability to more regions, including Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan. Samsung also notes that timing may vary by market, so the feature will not necessarily appear everywhere at the same time.

That staggered release is fairly typical for Samsung software updates, especially when new features are being introduced across multiple markets. For Galaxy S26 owners outside Korea, the announcement matters because it confirms broader expansion is planned, even if the feature is not live locally on day one.

More Galaxy devices will follow later

For now, Samsung is limiting the feature to the Galaxy S26 family. The company says support for additional Galaxy devices will be announced later, but it has not yet shared a timeline or a broader device list.

That leaves the Galaxy S26 series as Samsung’s first test bed for the new Quick Share capability. If the rollout goes smoothly, the update could become a more meaningful ecosystem feature across a wider portion of Samsung’s mobile lineup in the months ahead.
