Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 - Samsung’s new affordable phones coming March 25

Samsung has (finally) confirmed the launch date for its next generation of mid-range smartphones. According to an announcement from Samsung India, the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 are scheduled to debut on March 25 at 5:30 pm IST (12:00 pm GMT).
The Galaxy A57 is expected to receive several hardware upgrades over the outgoing Galaxy A56. Reports suggest the device will feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will be powered by the new Exynos 1680 chipset. Camera specs include a 50 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 5 MP macro lens. Notably, the battery is expected to maintain a 5,000 mAh capacity but will now support faster 45W wired charging.
The Galaxy A37 is rumored to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a similar size battery as its more expensive sibling but will likely utilize the older Exynos 1480 chip and an 8 MP ultrawide camera. Both handsets are expected to ship with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, supported by six years of software updates.
Even if they don’t get a flashy launch event, the new A-series are a crucial release for Samsung thanks to how well they sell. Upon release, the Galaxy A37 and A57 will compete directly in the mid-range segment against the iPhone 17e, Google Pixel 10a, and the Nothing Phone 4a series.
