Rumor has it that this year's late Galaxy Unpacked event may herald the launch of the much cheaper Galaxy A series before the Galaxy S26. Whether this actually transpires remains to be seen, but China's TENAA (Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center) recently provided fairly reliable information about the Galaxy A57's specs, which differ only in very few details from its predecessor, the A56.
The major innovation of the Galaxy A57 compared to the Galaxy A56 may just be its design, but even this claim seems to hold little weight when looking at the real-world images of the Samsung Galaxy A57, also released by TENAA. At first glance, there are hardly any differences; only the vertical camera module in the upper left corner of the back appears to have been slightly reshaped and significantly reduced in thickness, presumably as part of slimming-down efforts.
Whether the display bezels will also be reduced in the 2026 generation of Samsung's premium mid-range phone is something that cannot be determined from these images. However, a new feature is the purple color option, which wasn't available in 2025. What other colors are planned remains to be seen; in terms of specifications, an upgrade to an Exynos 1680 processor and a thinner and lighter chassis are likely on the agenda.
