Global Vivo iQoo 15R surfaces on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

iQoo has confirmed the release of the iQoo 15 Ultra, its more premium offering over the standard iQoo 15. However, the 15 Ultra is launching exclusively in China for now, with no word on a global release. Nevertheless, there is also an iQoo 15R, which was officially teased by iQoo India and has cleared multiple certifications, hinting at a wider international release.

It has now surfaced on Geekbench, revealing key details. The iQoo 15R with the model number "I2508" has surfaced on Geekbench, pointing to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset alongside 8GB of RAM. For context, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is a sub-flagship processor, positioned below the 8 Elite Gen 5. The iQoo 15R scores 2,590 in single-core and 8,423 in multi-core testing. The Geekbench listing also indicates that the phone runs Android 16.

With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powering the iQoo 15R, it is likely that it will be a rebranded version of the iQoo Z11 Turbo, which launched recently in China with the same chipset.

For context, the Z11 Turbo features a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1260 x 2750 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. It has a dual rear camera setup featuring a 200MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The phone includes a 32MP selfie camera.

It has a 7,600mAh battery with 100W fast charging support (20K Ugreen powerbank curr. $35 on Amazon). Notably, it also has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It launched at a starting price of CNY 2,699 (~$387) in China. However, there is currently no information regarding the pricing or release date of the global iQoo 15R.
