Xiaomi releases new lightweight laptop with Intel Panther Lake and 120 Hz OLED display

Xiaomi has joined its peers by adopting Intel's new Panther Lake platform. To recap, various Windows OEMs have released Panther Lake-based laptops so far, including the IdeaPad Pro 5i Gen 11 and the Core Ultra 7 356H. While the Book Pro 14 does not leverage that 16-core processor, it is available with the more powerful Core Ultra X7 358H.
Additionally, Xiaomi sells the Book Pro 14 with cheaper Core Ultra 5 325 and Core Ultra 5 338H processors. Xiaomi's new laptop features a 14.6-inch display too, despite weighing over 200 g less than the 13-inch-wielding MacBook Neo (curr. $599 on Amazon). Specifically, the Book Pro 14 weighs about 1.08 kg while measuring 317 x 225 x 15 mm.
Moreover, Xiaomi installs a 72 Wh battery with support for 100 W charging to power the laptop's 500 nit, 120 Hz and 3,120 x 2,080-pixel OLED display. Xiaomi complements this 3:2 display with a 140 x 93 mm touchpad and backlit keys that provide 1.3 mm of key travel. The Book Pro 14 contains full-sized HDMI and USB Type-A ports too, despite its slim footprint.
The Book Pro 14 starts at CNY 7,999 (~$1,159) with a Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Meanwhile, Core Ultra 5 338H and Core Ultra X7 358H versions cost CNY 9,199 (~$1,333) and CNY 9,999 (~$1,449), respectively, each with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. All variants can be configured in blue, grey, pink and white colours too. There is no word on global availability yet, though.
