Asus releases new 14-inch gaming laptop in North America with Nvidia RTX 5060

Asus finally released the FA401EA version of the TUF Gaming A14 in the US earlier this month. The company's first Strix Halo gaming laptop, the FA401EA retails for $2,199 with the Ryzen AI Max+ 392, 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Alternatively, Asus sells the ProArt PX13 HN7306EA with the more powerful Ryzen AI Max+ 395 plus 64 GB or 128 GB of RAM.
Now, another version of the TUF Gaming A14 has also reached North America. Specifically, Asus has now released the FA401GM in Canada after announcing it during CES 2026. Available since January in China, Asus' website has previously indicated that the FA401GM is US-bound.
The FA401GM features the Ryzen AI 9 465, a Gorgon Point APU that may provide worse CPU performance than the older FA401WV variant and its Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (curr. $1,455 on Amazon). Additionally, the FA401GM comes with a GeForce RTX 5060, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD for CAD 2,599 (~$1,893). Thus, Asus charges CAD 100 (~$73) more for the FA401GM than the FA401EA in Canada.
