Gamers on the lookout for a capable gaming tablet will likely already have Lenovo's Legion Tablet family on their radars. To be precise, the Legion Tab 3 is now available for just $379 on Lenovo's official online store, courtesy of a sizable 30% discount.

This specific variant of the Legion Tab 3 comes equipped with 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. There is no option for cellular connectivity. In order to take full advantage of the deal, customers are requested to utilize the coupon "EXTRAFIVE" during checkout.

Lenovo Legion Tab: Compact 8.8-inch gamer with 165 Hz refresh rate

At 8.8-inches, the Legion Tab Gen 3 falls under the competitive compact gaming tablet segment, and positions itself as a well-rounded offering. The 8.8-inch 2560 x 1600 LTPS display, while not quite as vivid as OLEDs, performed admirably during our testing. With a refresh rate of 165 Hz and 98.4% coverage of the sRGB color gamut, gaming should be a pleasure on the Legion Tab 3.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC powering the tablet is not exactly a modern-day flagship, but packs enough punch to defeat the Apple iPad mini 7 by almost 50% in GPU benchmarks. In CPU performance, however, the iPad mini does have the upper hand in both single-core and multi-core benchmarks. Despite a potent vapor chamber cooling system, the Legion Tab 3 throttles under load, albeit fares much better than its predecessor.

Battery performance is equally respectable, with the Legion Tab 3 lasting over 20 hours in our video playback test with screen brightness set to 150 nits. We were also very pleased with the real-life utility of the dual USB-C ports, but were equally disappointed with the tablet's lack of cellular connectivity and peak full-screen brightness of just around 420 nits, which may not be enough for outdoor usage on sunny days.

As always, interested gamers are requested to be mindful of the time-sensitive nature of such attractive deals. Before pulling the trigger, be sure to check out our in-depth review of the Legion Tab Gen 3 compact gaming tablet as well.
