Lenovo releases new 14-inch ThinkPad globally with 120 Hz VRR OLED

Lenovo has finally released the latest ThinkPad X1 after showcasing the 2-in-1 in January during CES 2026. Replacing the Lunar Lake-based Gen 10 edition (curr. $1,897 on Amazon), the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 Aura Edition contains various changes over older models not just limited to faster processors.
For reference, Lenovo equips all SKUs with a 58 wh battery and three Thunderbolt 4 ports within a 14-inch housing that measures 313.5 x 219.3 x 9.4~16.4 mm. Although Lenovo mentioned Core Ultra X7 processors at launch, the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 starts with a Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage and a 1200p IPS display with a 60 Hz refresh rate.
Alternatively, the laptop can be configured with a Core Ultra 7 355 processor for £220/€250 more and a 2.8K OLED (120 Hz VRR) display or a PCIe 5.0 SSD for £110 each in the UK but €120 and €130 in the Eurozone, respectively. Moreover, Lenovo sells its Slim Pen 2 as a £30/€30 extra and NFC connectivity for a £10/€20 surcharge. Curiously, only Core Ultra 7 355 variants can be optioned with 16 GB of RAM for a £290/€330 saving.
While the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 Aura Edition shows as starting at £2,489.99/€2,799, it can be configured without an operating system for a £50/€60 saving. Lenovo will begin shipping on March 24 in the UK and across the Eurozone. Shipments may begin later in other markets like Australia, though.
