Now available to order in many countries: Panther Lake powered Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 releases

Lenovo announced the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 in January at the CES 2026. Two months later, the new premium thin and light flagship is now (almost) here. Customers are able to preorder the business laptop at Lenovo's own webshop, and it starts shipping on March 24 in select countries, including the UK.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14: What it is about
To recap: As the newest member in the long line of X1 Carbon premium ultrabooks, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 brings a total redesign to this series compared with the older X1 Carbon Gen 13 (available on Amazon). As always, it has a 14-inch screen in a thinnest and lightest package available on a premium Lenovo laptop, with the classic black ThinkPad design.
New this year is not just the new Intel Panther Lake platform, with up to the Intel Core Ultra X7 featuring in the X1 Carbon G14, but also the increase in repairability and modularity: Different from its predecessor, the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon has user replaceable USB-C ports, as well as a more easily repairable keyboard - thanks to the new "space frame" construction that adds a center Magnesium frame to the laptop, which allows for the keyboard to be removed as a separate part. The new design also enables Lenovo to increase the TDP of the laptop to up to 30 W, up from 22.5 W on the predecessor.
Configurations and options: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14
In the UK, the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 Aura Edition starts at £2,099. The base model includes the Intel Core Ultra 5 325, 32 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD, as well as a 14-inch WUXGA IPS screen. There is a more expensive variant that costs £2,690, which comes with the Intel Core Ultra 7 355, 32 GB RAM, a 1 TB SSD and a 2.8K OLED screen, as well as an upgraded 10 Mpix webcam.
Possible options include the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H and Core Ultra 7 X7 358H and up to 64 GB RAM, which seems only available on the Core X7 for now - the X7 variants starts north of £3,000. Customization is already possible, enabling users to choose between a mechanical or a bigger haptic trackpad, as well as WWAN antennas being included or not.
