Deal | Geekom A8 mini PC gets a hefty price cut with a special discount coupon

Geekom has a Christmas sale in place, which has dropped the price of some of its offerings by up to 50%. Among them, one notable mini PC that's enjoying a hefty price cut is the Geekom A8. The base configuration available on the website can be purchased with a $50 discount using the coupon code found on the site.

However, you can save the most using a special discount code: A8DealDEC. Once applied, this coupon code makes the mini PC fall from $699 to $544, which is a decent $155 price cut from what the Geekom A8 generally goes for. However, note that this deal is only applicable to the Ryzen 7 8845HS configuration.

As for the mini PC itself, we reviewed the Ryzen 9 configuration, and besides the APU, all the other aspects are the same. In our review, we noted that the Geekom A8 has the same compact and highly-quality housing as the A7. While its volume of around 0.5-liter makes it one of the smallest mini PCs out there, it packs a punch.

The Ryzen 7 8845HS inside the configuration that's on sale is one of the top-end APUs from the Hawk Point lineup. With the Radeon 780M, the Geekom A8 can even handle a good number of games at 1080p with the visuals dialed down. You also have the option to get better gaming performance by pairing it with an eGPU.

For that, the mini PC has a USB 4 port, which isn't the ideal eGPU solution when compared to the OCuLink port, but it's better than nothing. Besides that, the Geekom A8 has three USB 3.2, one Ethernet, and two HDMI 2.0 ports. To ensure stable performance under heavy loads, Geekom has packed the mini PC with its IceBlast 1.5 cooling system, which is also said to be capable of keeping noise levels low.
