The attractive ThinkPad Z16 isn't the only capable 16-inch Lenovo laptop that is currently available at a significant discount, as the Chinese PC maker has now also treated the 4K OLED-equipped ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 to its biggest price cut to date.
Similar to a previous deal from late October, this offer is available at Lenovo's very own online store, which is where the ThinkPad P16s with the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U and 64GB LPDDR5X memory has dropped to a very compelling price of $1,029 including free shipping, which is the result of an all-time high discount of 65% relative to MSRP.
In addition to the enormous amount of memory, the Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 sports a 1TB SSD and a fantastic 4K OLED display, which covers the entire DCI-P3 color space and can reach a brightness of up to 400 nits. On the other hand, the OLED screen only works with a 60Hz refresh rate, which doesn't feel as smooth as the 120Hz offered by some other multimedia-focused laptops.
For more technical details on the Lenovo ThinkPad P16s, please refer to our must-read review of a very similar OLED configuration with half the amount of RAM. The high performance of the AMD Ryzen 7 and excellent picture quality of the 4K OLED panel are arguably the two most obvious strengths of this mobile workstation laptop.
However, we were less impressed by the limited port selection, as the ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 offers just one USB 4 port. Furthermore, we criticized the underpowered charging brick and soldered memory. That being said, the 16-inch Lenovo notebook is probably the most intriguing option for users who are looking for a capable ThinkPad with a gorgeous 4K OLED display and powerful AMD CPU.
