Deal | ThinkPad P16s with Core i7, QHD screen and Nvidia dGPU is 69% off in Lenovo's clearance sale
Yesterday's compelling ThinkPad deal offered a very good value for laptop buyers who are looking for a large workstation with a dedicated Nvidia GPU. However, bargain hunters who have missed out on that time-sensitive offer can now benefit from another noteworthy discount on a Lenovo notebook, this time for the ThinkPad P16s.
This time around, Lenovo is selling the ThinkPad P16s Gen 1 with an Intel Core i7-1260P and the Nvidia T550 Laptop GPU with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM for $899 including free shipping at it's official online shop. The 16-inch workstation is also equipped with a 512GB SSD and 16GB of partly soldered memory which can be upgraded to 40GB after purchase.
Since Lenovo's official list price for this particular ThinkPad P16s variant stands at almost $3,000, this laptop sale provides a discount of 69 percent or roughly $2,000 relative to the, admittedly, unrealistic MSRP. In contrast to the AMD-powered SKU of the Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 1 that has recently been put on sale, this configuration features the much better QHD IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels, 100% sRGB coverage and a peak brightness of 400 nits.
Last but not least, prospective buyers should further note that the dedicated Nvidia graphics card in the 16-inch Lenovo laptop is based on Nvidia's rather outdated Turing architecture and does not offer as much graphics performance as newer workstation GPUs. But since the other specs of the ThinkPad P16s Gen 1 are quite attractive, some notebook shoppers might want to spend $899 on this QHD machine.
