Asus Zenbook Duo UX8406CA listing reveals upcoming Intel Core Ultra 7 255H and Core Ultra 9 285H processors
A few weeks have passed since Intel's Core Ultra 9 285H processor surfaced on Geekbench. For reference, the Arrow Lake-H processor was spotted in an unreleased Dell laptop dubbed the Pro Max 16 (MC16250). Now, it seems that Asus is plotting a refresh of its Zenbook Duo laptop with the same processor.
For context, Asus currently offers the machine with Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 9 185H processors (curr. $1,636 on Amazon). Based on two Gear-Up.me store listings, Asus will soon replace these processors with Core Ultra 7 255H and Core Ultra 9 285H successors. Incidentally, the Core Ultra 7 255H also recently appeared on Geekbench, details of which we have covered separately.

According to these listings, the Core Ultra 7 255H and Core Ultra 9 285H will contain 16 and 24 CPU cores, respectively. As VideoCardz notes though, previous Arrow Lake-H leaks have suggested that the series will go no higher than 16 cores. Thus, the core count of the Core Ultra 9 285H may be inaccurate.
At any rate, these processors will sold in the Zenbook Duo as the Zenbook Duo UX8406CA with 32 GB of RAM and what appears to be a choice between 1 TB or 2 TB or RAM. Potentially, other memory configurations will be available though, such as one with 16 GB of RAM. As the images below show, Gear-Up.me intends to sell the Core Ultra 7 255H-powered SKU for 952.34 Bahraini Dinar (BHD), which currently converts to approximately $2,533.
By contrast, the Core Ultra 9 285H comes in at BHD 1,421.93 (~$3,782), albeit with twice as much RAM too. It remains to be seen whether the machines will cost that much in other markets, though. As it stands, we suspect Asus will officially introduce the Zenbook Duo in January during CES 2025.
