Oppo has confirmed plans to release a slew of new devices early next month. In summary, the company has revealed that the Pad 4 Pro and Watch X2 Mini will arrive on April 10, as will the Find X8S, Find X8 Plus and Find X8 Ultra. On top of that, an innovative charging accessory will be making its debut during the same launch event.
Specifically, the company has unveiled the Ice Wing Magnetic Cooling Clip, which follows in the footsteps of last year's AirVOOC Magnetic Charger. While the latter utilises Oppo's proprietary Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging (VOOC) to offer 50 W charging, the Ice Wing Magnetic Cooling Clip appears to miss out on this functionality entirely. Instead, the latter can deliver up to 27 W while being tethered to a compatible power supply via its sole USB Type-C port.
As its name suggests, the primary aim of the Ice Wing Magnetic Cooling Clip is to prevent devices from thermal throttling when gaming. According to Oppo, the clip provides 'extremely strong heat dissipation', albeit without providing any further details yet. Also, despite being designed for Oppo devices, the company claims that the Ice Wing Magnetic Cooling Clip is compatible with iPhones like the iPhone 16 (curr. $697 - renewed on Amazon) via MagSafe and Android devices using conventional clips pictured below. Oppo will reveal launch pricing on April 10; there is no word on international availability yet, though.
