Motorola has now revealed initial details about the Edge 60 Fusion following a series of recent leaks. For example, it has confirmed that the handset will be available from April 2, albeit only in India initially. Unfortunately, international availability remains unknown for the time being.
Also, the company has now confirmed that the Edge 60 Fusion features an AMOLED panel that spans 6.7-inches across with a 1440p (1.5K) native resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness. Please note that the latter will only apply in a small percentage of the display at any given time. By contrast, full panel brightness is rated at 1,400 nits.
Motorola reports that the display is Pantone validated, too and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which the company has complemented with IP69 certification against dust and water ingress. On top of that, the Edge Fusion contains a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, a 5,500 mAh battery, up to 12 GB of RAM and a 50 MP primary camera based around Sony's LYT-700C and 1/1.56-inch sensor.
The Edge 60 Fusion will also come with the promise of three years' worth of OS upgrades and a fourth year of security patch updates, just like the Edge 50 Fusion (curr. $262 on Amazon). However, the Edge 60 Fusion starts with Android 15 pre-installed, compared to Android 14 for its predecessor. Please see the screenshots below for more information.
