Oppo has revealed fresh details about the Find X8 Ultra, which will soon line up as its alternative to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,084.99 on Amazon) and the upcoming Vivo X200 Ultra. Incidentally, the Find X8 Ultra will launch alongside the Find X8s and Find X8s Plus, which it continues to tease on Chinese social media.
As for the Find X8 Ultra, Oppo has now confirmed that the device will feature two periscope telephoto cameras. In fact, it goes as far as to remark that the Find X8 Ultra will contain the 'industry's only dual periscope' solution. As a result, any of its comparisons are between the Find X7 Ultra and Find X8 Ultra and not with any of the latter's contemporaries.
Apparently, Oppo has managed to improve the light sensitivity of its 3x periscope camera by 150% from the Find X7 Ultra to the Find X8 Ultra. As a result, the company hopes that the latter will create fewer artefacts when taking portrait shots in low light. By contrast, this year's 6x optical camera will be capable of capturing up to 251% more light than last year's. Ultimately though, we would not recommend passing judgement until independent reviews arrive. Oppo will unveil the Find X8 Ultra on April 10, meaning that reviews are unlikely to arrive until the middle of next month at the earliest.
